Learning For Leisure

Learning for Leisure is an autonomous group, and a joint venture between Sydney Community Services and Boronia Park Uniting Church. Learning for Leisure is managed by a small committee.

This service provides creative leisure activities in a friendly, informal atmosphere where skills and experience can be shared. They are open to everyone and no experience is necessary.

Its only funding comes through fees and donations. 

Here is an example of a Learning for Leisure Program:

9.00am: Gentle Exercise (1 hour) (relaxation and meditation)
9.30am: Mahjong
10am: Morning Tea
10am – 12 noon: Knitting/Crochet/Tapestry/Embroidery/Paper Craft

Service operating times: Wednesday mornings.

Location: Boronia Park Uniting Church, 93A Pittwater Road, Hunters Hill. 

Fees: $12.00 per term

There is also a small client contribution depending on the activity. However, no one is excluded from services due to an inability to pay.
